The road to the Turzii Gorges is being asphalted.

A tourist road in Cluj County has entered maintenance and asphalting works.

County Road 103I (DJ 103G) Platou – Cheile Turzii has entered maintenance works, with asphalting, the Cluj County Council announced. These will be completed with the asphalting of the entire county road.

"It is a new initiative in our much more consistent program of maintenance or rehabilitation of the roads leading to the most important areas and tourist attractions in the county. The works preface the tourist season, the Cheile Turzii Nature Reserve annually attracting a significant number of visitors from the country and abroad", said Alin Tise, president of the Cluj County Council.

Thus, works will be carried out consisting of milling the affected areas, filling the holes with asphalt coatings, treating the bulges and depressions, completing the shoulders, restoring the embankments, cleaning the ditches and gullies, replacing the footbridges, cutting the vegetation and the overgrowth in the vicinity of the roadway and laying the asphalt carpet.

In this phase, work is carried out consisting of milling the affected areas, treating bulges and depressions, and other preparatory work to ensure the work front.
